Who do we treat?
Our procedure
PRP is an effective treatment to help thicken hair, grow new hair and maintain existing hair growth. Our treatments involve micro – injections inserted into layers of the scalp to stimulate follicle growth and thickness. We can penetrate this layer and stimulate the follicle growth instantaneously. The Platelet Rich Plasma has growth factors and stem cell-stimulating cells, which rejuvenate the hair follicles and promote hair growth. The procedure will eventually reinvigorate the hair cycle and attempt to grow new follicles whilst improving the thickness of scalp hair.

Frequently asked questions
What does hair loss treatment involve at SKIN CLUB?
At SKIN CLUB Cosmetic Doctors, our doctors first look at your medical history and family history, to identify any underlying causes that may be the reason why you are experiencing hair loss. Each patient after having a consult require baseline medical blood tests to assess their bodily functions and nutrition status. Our doctors assess each individual in a specialized manner, their main aim is to give your hair the best chance to grow back. By accurately identifying the troubled hair and scalp regions, they devise a medical hair loss plan. This will evaluate the need for lotions, medications, and PRP over a specific period. With a holistic approach, looking at all causes for an individual’s hair loss, SKIN CLUB cosmetic doctors only use evidence-based treatments.
How does it PRP hair loss treatment work?
PRP is a form of cosmetic injectable treatment that uses patients platelet rich plasma found in their blood cells to stimulate hair follicle growth and thickness. First our staff will take a sample of your blood – a very quick and painless process. Then we will use our state of the art equipment to extract essential nutrients and blood components necessary to reproduce collagen – Platelet Rich Plasma. After 15 minutes of this process we re-inject your own platelets and plasma into the middle layer of your skin on your scalp. The Platelet Rich Plasma has growth factors and stem cell-stimulating cells, which rejuvenate the hair follicles and promote hair growth. The procedure will eventually reinvigorate the hair cycle and attempt to grow new follicles whilst improving the thickness of scalp hair. Treatment must be performed every 3-4 weeks for approximately 3-8 sessions in order to acheive optimum results.
Do PRP injections hurt?
PRP is a very safe procedure and at the hands of our experienced cosmetic doctors we are able to provide you with excellent results. The procedure is relatively pain-free, with our patients only feeling a small pinch during the procedure. If requested we can use an injectable or local anaesthetic to numb the area. You may experience mild swelling and bruising after treatment, however this should settle within 7 days.
Will I see results immediately?
No, results of PRP treatment will start to become visible within 3-6 months after you begin treatment. Growth factors take time to stimulate the hair follicles completely. Therefore, a minimum of 8 months is required to see significant benefits.
What is Hair Loss?
Pattern Hair Loss or Androgenetic Alopecia affects both men and women. Alopecia is genetic and is caused by high levels of Dihydrotestosterone hormone. These hormones, if increased than normal levels, causes the hair follicles to shrink and can affect hair growth. Male hair loss starts with a receding hairline and thinning of the hair around the crown of the head. If left untreated, it will result in complete baldness. While baldness in women is more uncommon, female hair loss often begins in the central area of the scalp.
