Generally, the side effects of a thread lift treatment are minimal, especially compared with surgical face lift procedures. The most common side effect is mild swelling or bruising. While it’s not typical, some patients may bruise or swell significantly, but this usually goes away in a few days.
There is a slight chance of complications arising from a thread lift treatment. Occasionally an asymmetric tilt may occur, but this is easily addressed by applying additional facial threads. If the threads are placed to close to the surface, they can become visible and cause the skin to ‘pucker’. And a small amount of scarring at the insertion site is inevitable, but because the incisions are extremely small and the threads fine this is unlikely to cause any visual issues. And as with every cosmetic procedure, there is a potential for infection, though this is highly unlikely.
SKIN CLUB Cosmetic Doctors are thoroughly trained and have extensive experience in performing thread lift treatments, so the likelihood of complications or significant side effects is minimal. As medical professionals, we take sterilisation and hygiene extremely seriously for all the procedures we perform, and adhere to surgical best practices to avoid infection.
