Revlite Laser Melbourne

Revlite Laser Facial is is a gentle treatment for skin rejuvenation that uses PTP or patented Photo-Acoustic Technology Pulse energy for a fast treatment on full face with minimal discomfort and no downtime. A unique laser light is being aimed at the targeted area to penetrate the skin’s outer layers. Revlite Laser goes through the outer layers then to the deeper layers of the skin. Revlite Laser can be done in all skin types and an excellent option for treating deep pigmentation conditions and helps with overall skin maintenance.

Apart from using this treatment for anti-ageing benefits by going through the deeper layers of the skin, it can also decrease the appearance of abnormalities on skin because production of collagen is being increased by the laser.

Revlite Laser treatment is a known follow-up treatment when combined with other ablative laser treatments. This is being utilized to maintain overall skin health and is a key component of planning maintenance treatments.

How does a Revlite Laser treatment feel like?

Revlite Laser treatment feels like a strong pricking or flicking sensation. Applying a local anaesthetic cream like EMLA an hour prior to the treatment will make the procedure more comfortable. You may put some numbing cream on the targeted area and cover it with cling wrap.

The duration of the treatment depends on the area. Small areas can be treated in about 10 minutes while larger areas can take up to an hour to treat. A cream will be put in the area and will be covered with gauze.

    Are there any side effects?

Revlite Laser is safe; however, these side effects might be experienced:

    • Flaking since the area will darken and will get dry. It is essential to let if flake off naturally and not peel it off
    • After the treatment, the patient will experience redness and mild swelling
    • Some scabbing may happen after several treatments
    • Scarring happens in few cases (around 5%) and occasional white spots which usually re-pigment over time
    • Risk of scarring may be higher for new tattoos which are less than 3 months old so treatment would not be advisable
    • Revlite Laser treatment is not recommended for pregnant and breast-feeding women

How much does the treatment cost?

Pricing of Revlite Laser Sydney depends on the targeted area and number of recommended sessions. It would be best to have a consultation with our cosmetic doctor to be assessed and to have a final quotation.

How many treatments would I need for pigment removal?

The number of treatments depends on the severity of the pigmentation. For surface pigmentation (532), it requires one to two treatments and is normally quick. For deeper pigmentation (1064) which includes tattoo ink, it would require a series of treatments in order to break up granules of pigments.

Why come to Skin Club – Cosmetic Doctors for Revlite?

Here in our clinic, we use Revlite q-switched nd yag laser which is a next generation Revlite and used by doctors and dermatologists due to its safety, speed and effectiveness

      What is the downtime?

It could be 5-7 days on the face or 10-12 days on the body if surface pigment (532) will appear darker before peeling off. For deeper pigmentation, there would be little to no downtime after treatment. However, some after care treatment with antiseptic ointment will be needed for treatment of tattoos.

What should I do after the laser treatment?

The skin may become sensitive after treatment. A patient may experience redness which will decrease as the targeted area heals; however, some patients want to conceal the redness if they have to go to work. For concealing redness, it is recommended to use mineral make up. The patient also has to avoid direct exposure to sunlight during the healing process.

      Are the results permanent?

Depending on patient to patient, the results will be permanent.
